The Garden
This was a wonderful project bringing an overgrown farmhouse garden back to life. All the herbaceous borders have been dug out and largely replanted with a range of scented roses, shrubs and my favourite perennials which are now getting established.
Behind the house is our kitchen garden mostly of soft fruit which thrives here in the Highlands.
You are very welcome to wander round the garden or sit with a coffee or glass of wine and enjoy the views and plentiful birdlife.
Local places to visit and suggested one-day tours
Chanonry Point, famous for dolphin watching, one of the oldest golf clubs and the best sandy beach on the Black Isle, just 10 minutes from us. (fortrosegolfclub.co.uk)
Munlochy bay, beautiful estuary nearby with lovely walks and great bird watching – and a chance to see a sea otter if you are lucky.
Just one of the many fabulous views on the North Coast 500. Spectacular drives to Gairloch or Ullapool are perfect for a one day drive from here.
